Conversations between graft suspect Gayus Tambunan and Judicial Taskforce members will be played at Gayus’ trial on Monday.


"Today, we plan to replay the recordings,” South Jakarta District Court head M. Yusuf said on Monday as quoted by kompas.com newsportal.


Taskforce members Denny Indrayana and Mas Achmad Santosa met Gayus after the tax mafia case implicating the former low level tax official was revealed in the media.

Denny previously testified that the taskforce secretly recorded its first three meetings with Gayus at the taskforce’s office.

Two later meetings with Gayus could not be recorded: a low cell phone battery stymied an attempt to record a meeting in Singapore after Gayus fled authorities; and the taskforce could not record its final meeting with Gayus in his cell at the Mobile Brigade headquarters detention center.

One witness, Wani Sabu, is scheduled to testify on Monday.
